Nobody Does It Better
If this reminds you of Gossip Girl, then I won't be that surprised.
Over the past few weeks, I've been planning and plotting my plan for world domination...and no, no one's going to get killed in this one. LOL. By the term "world domination" I mean my own personal reinvention. This goal got started when I first began familiar with the book titled "Sex and the Single Girl". As I continued to read it, I ended up liking it more and more...and in the end, it became my new personal bible. Of course, I could do without some of the dating tips, as I don't like to get involved in (messy) affairs with married men, but I felt like most of the book was speaking to me.
According to the book, this is what the single woman is all about. After all, it's not just about a stupid Facebook status:
1. She is engaging because she lives by her wits.
2. She has had to sharpen her personality and mental resources in order to survive in a competitive world.
3. She supports herself.
4. Economically, she is a dream.
5. She is not a parasite, dependent, sponger, or bum.
6. She is a giver, not a taker, a winner and not a loser.
7. She isn't married, and is The Girl in a man's life or his vision of The Girl.
8. She has more time and often more money to spend on herself.
9. She has the freedom to furnish her mind.
10. She moves in the world of men.
11. She never has to drudge.
12. She has more money for clothes and trips than any.
13. She refuses to take singleness lying down.
14. She has style.
15. She has brains, but not too many.
16. She has fashion as her powerful ally.
17. She lives alone.
18. She has a nice figure, and keeps it trim (and healthy).
19. She cooks well.
20. She has a job that interests her and at which she works hard.
